Over the past year, the Logically team has worked closely with fact checkers in its independent unit, Logically Facts, to understand their workflows and identify opportunities for innovative technology solutions. Recognizing the critical need for timely fact-checking, combined with the challenges posed by emerging misinformation such as deep fakes, which require human intervention, Logically’s latest product streamlines the traditional labor-intensive process and more specifically, the claim discovery phase.

During the 2024 General Election in India, over half of online content fact checked by the Logically Facts team involved video claims. Recognizing this trend underscores the value of Logically Facts® Accelerate, which is improving the speed and efficiency with which fact checkers can identify and verify video content across various platforms.

Supporting languages including English, Arabic, Russian, Chinese and Hindi, Logically Facts® Accelerate leverages cutting-edge AI technologies to automate and expedite the discovery phase of fact-checking by:

Transcribing videos and performing claim extraction analysis, providing a fact-check worthiness score, an overview of related fact checks conducted by Logically Facts and suggesting a range of videos for review without a fact-checker having to watch every video.
Assigning urgency scores based on the real needs and workflows of fact-checkers, evaluating the novelty of claims, avoiding duplication of work, considering the recency of information, and assessing the relevance of the video for fact-checking.
