Logically conducted an investigation consisting of more than 10,000 messages, 1,000 documents, and more than 40 minutes of audio recordings uncovered during the course of an investigation into a previously identified network spearheading propaganda and disinformation campaigns in Africa and found:

Distilled out of these documents, Logically has identified three areas of significance that help shed light on elements of ongoing Russian-backed operations in West Africa. These are:

  • A nascent effort to set up a “Pan African Intelligence Agency”,
  • A documented relationship between a known Kremlin-affiliated actor in West Africa and a bank with a UK presence
  • Previously unknown information about Russian influence in West Africa, particularly Burkina Faso and Equatorial Guinea
